history

During the initial stages of MOLIN’s history, the company specialised in the assembly and commissioning of pipework and machinery for the paper and pulp industry. Currently, MOLIN concentrates on building services engineering, consistently maintaining strict adherence to safety standards within this sector as well.

We generate intrinsic value

MOLIN originates from ‘MOntage LINz’, conveying both the industry and geographic roots of our company in Upper Austria. Since 1989, our headquarters have been located in Wels, Austria.

The company can look back on a history of success that started with its foundation in Linz in 1983.

In 1988, Peter Zauner assumed management of the company. Since then, we have pursued a clear, long-term corporate strategy characterized by openness to innovative ideas and new perspectives, with a strong focus on the systematic expansion of our business divisions.

The close business partnership with the mineral oil industry, established in the early 1990s, proved to be a key driver of our economic development. Companies in this sector place particularly high demands on quality and safety. By continuously rising to these challenges, we have grown steadily and developed into a leading provider—above all because we consistently and reliably meet these exacting quality and safety standards.

In 1994, in a first step towards expanding our company, we opened the branch office in Vienna. This was followed by several more branch offices in Eastern Europe in the early 2000s, which were established to pursue a dynamic course in a Europe of newly open borders.

Today, we are known as an innovative industry leader in the areas of installation and first operation of industrial facilities as well as industrial and commercial building services engineering in Austria and beyond.
