MOLIN

Our History

In the early days of MOLIN's history, our core competency was the installation and first operation of piping and machines in the paper and cellulose industry. Today, MOLIN focuses primarily on building services engineering. Here, too, security standards are upheld as a matter of course.

The name MOLIN is a link to our history as well – it is an acronym of MOntage (installation) and the city of LINz, and thus refers to our former core business and the location of our first headquarters.
Since 1989, our headquarters have been in Wels.

The company can look back on a history of success that started with its foundation in Linz in 1983.

In 1988, Peter Zauner took over the company as CEO. Since the early 1990s, we have worked closely with the petroleum industry. In retrospect, this cooperation has contributed greatly to the economic success of the company, as this industry requires particularly high standards of quality and safety. We have embraced these requirements and, today, we are an industry leader – no doubt because we still strictly adhere to those high standards of quality and safety.

In 1994, in a first step towards expanding our company, we opened the branch office in Vienna. This was followed by several more branch offices in Eastern Europe in the early 2000s, which were established to pursue a dynamic course in a Europe of newly open borders.

Today, we are known as an innovative industry leader in the areas of installation and first operation of industrial facilities as well as industrial and commercial building services engineering in Austria and beyond.
